Thank you for visiting our website and welcome to Kindergarten!

At St. Joseph Hessen Cassel School we want Kindergarten to be a wonderful experience for your child since in some cases it is your child’s first time in a structured setting. We put emphasis on developing the whole child academically and spiritually so he/she is prepared for the future, as our vision statement says, “Learning for Life and Living the Faith”.

Emphasis will also be placed on motor, perceptual, social, and emotional development of each child through computer, art, P.E., health, music, free play, and show and tell. We are involved in two musical programs during the school year as well as Junior Achievement, theater, Celebrity Read-In, and other in-school programs and a variety of field trips.

This is going to be an exciting year as we begin to use Smart Board and Mimio Teach technology as learning tools. We will also be accessing programs such as Khan Academy, Accelerated Reader, and Accelerated Math to help those who need a little extra help or for those who need to be challenged a little more.

I believe there needs to be an open line of communication between the students, parents, and teacher for your child to be successful in school. Feel free to email me if you need any more information.
