Hall Rental


PARISH HALL

Saint Joseph Parish has a parish hall which is available for wedding receptions, family reunions, anniversaries, meetings, Quinceañera celebrations and other such gatherings.  Located at the southern end of our campus, the hall provides a spacious interior with more than sufficient room for seating large groups, banquets, dancing, etc.  Commercial kitchen facilities are also available.  Approximately 30 tables and 200 chairs will be set up for your use.  Additional tables and chairs are available if needed.

Availability
The Hall is available for rental to both parishioners and outside groups.  Days and hours when the Hall may be rented are as follows:

Monday – Friday  (1.30 – 6.30pm)
Saturday   (8.00am – midnight)
Sunday  (11.30am  –  6.00pm)

Rental Fees
Rental fees are based upon the days and hours you wish to rent the Hall.  A special rate is available for parishioners of Saint Joseph, Hessen Cassel.  To qualify for this rate you must be an active, registered parishioner and the Hall must be used by you and your family.  You may not rent the Hall for non-parishioners in order to get the parishioner rate.  For both parishioners and non-parishioners one half of the rental fee is required at the time you reserve the Hall.  This portion of the rental fee is non-refundable.  The balance of the rental fee must be paid two weeks before your event or the event will be canceled.

A damage deposit is required from all renters.  This deposit is to be paid two weeks before your event when you pay the balance of  your rental fee.  This deposit will be returned to you within two weeks of  your event based upon an inspection that you left the facilities in the same condition they were rented to you.

A security charge is included in the rental fees for Saturday night rentals and for all other rentals where alcohol will be served.  This charge will be used by the parish to provide a security officer who will be present on the premises from 8.00pm until midnight.  At the discretion of the parish management this security charge may be waived for those events at which alcohol will not be served.
All events which are not directly sponsored by Saint Joseph as a parish event rather than a private event must be insured for the day(s) of event by the renter.  Proof of insurance must be provided at the time you reserve the Hall and pay the first installment of the rental fee.  If you do  not have such insurance, Saint Joseph Parish will provide it for you at an additional fee.

Responsibilities of All Renters

In agreeing to rent Saint Joseph Parish Hall you are agreeing to the following responsibilities:

  • You must contact the Parish Office one week before your event to make
    arrangments for opening the Hall the day of your event.  Additional openings
    may also be arranged.  We DO NOT give out keys to renters.
  • You provide for table set-up and decoration, table coverings, serving dishes,
    utensils, wash cloths, soap, trash can liners (39gal).
  • All decorations must be removed after your event is over.
  • All trash containers must be emptied and placed in the dumpster at the back of
    the Hall.  (Please break down empty boxes before putting them in the dumpster.)
  • Major spills mopped or swept.  Mops and brooms are provided.
  • All surfaces including tables and chairs are wiped clean.
  • Chairs folded and placed on top of tables.
  • All kitchen equipment cleaned and returned to their places.  Kitchen surfaces
    wiped clean and floor mopped.
  • Bathrooms cleaned.  Stalls left unlocked.
  • Check parking lots and clean up any trash.
  • The Hall is a smoke free facility.  Smokers must use the sand buckets located outside.

Wedding Reception and Similar Events

If you are renting the Hall for a wedding reception or similar event, besides the above
responsibilities, you also are agreeing to the following:

  • Last call / dance must not be any later than 11:30pm.
  • The majority of all clean-up must be done by midnight. Everyone must leave the premises no later than 1:00am.
  • Use of helium balloons is strictly prohibited.

WE ASK THAT YOU LEAVE THE HALL IN THE CONDITION WE RENTED IT TO YOU.       FAILURE TO FULFILL THE ABOVE RESPONSIBILITIES WILL RESULT IN FORFEITURE OF DAMAGE DEPOSIT AND / OR AN ADDITIONAL CLEANING / REPAIR CHARGE.
